Stop guessing, start asking: Introducing LinkedIn Polls in Oktopost

Quick poll: How many browser tabs do you have open right now?

A) A reasonable amount.

B) Enough to make my laptop fan sound like a jet engine.

C) I don’t want to talk about it… I’m just trying to find my LinkedIn tab.

If you chose B or C, we have some very good news for your sanity.

Introducing LinkedIn Polls in Oktopost

In the world of B2B social, engagement is the ultimate currency. It signals that your content is resonating with the right audience and is often the first step toward turning social interactions into measurable pipeline.

For years, LinkedIn Polls have been the secret sauce for driving high impressions, gathering quick feedback, and ultimately increasing engagement. But let’s be honest, the process has always been a bit of a headache in third-party tools. Until now!

We’ve heard you (loud and clear!), and we are thrilled to announce that LinkedIn Polls are now live within the new posting experience!

Everything you need, all in one place

Now you can create, schedule, and track LinkedIn Polls without ever leaving the Oktopost editor. Here’s the breakdown:

The “One-Click” poll: Just hit the “Create a Poll” button in Oktopost while you’re drafting your post. It’s that simple.

See it to believe it: View real-time previews of your poll, including live vote counts, straight from your Oktopost Calendar.

Data that actually talks back: No more manual counting. Head over to Social BI to see specific metrics for total votes and answer breakdowns. You can even filter by “Post Type” to see exactly how your polls stack up against your regular content, to help you strategically place polls into your social content strategy.

Advocacy on overdrive: Your employee advocates can also share the polls you create as Repost Stories on both mobile and desktop. More eyes, more votes, more reach, the perfect storm for more engagement.

Strategy spotlight: Putting polls to work

How can you use this today? Imagine you’re planning your Q3 content. Instead of guessing what your audience wants, just ask:

The insight gatherer: “What is your primary goal for Q2?” Use the results to tailor your next whitepaper or webinar.

The feature validator: “Which of these challenges is most pressing for your team?”

The engagement booster: Direct feedback loops like polls typically see significantly higher interaction rates than standard image or text posts.

Why it matters? (Aside from time saved)

For many of our customers, polls are their top-performing content type for impressions. By making polls easier to publish, we’re making it easier for you to win the algorithm.

A simple poll like, “What’s your biggest hurdle this quarter?” doesn’t just give you engagement; it gives you a roadmap for your next big content campaign.

Ready to start polling?

While other tools (we won’t name names) still make you jump through hoops, Oktopost users can do it all in one tab, directly from the Post Console.  To get started, make sure you’ve toggled ON the New Posting Experience in Labs, then head to the Post Console to create your first poll directly in Oktopost.

Note: The old Post Console will be retired on March 31, 2026, so make sure the new experience is enabled.
